Have you ever order something to eat and then ended up saying it looks nicer than it taste? Knowing the human psychology to relate appearance to everything, the food industry takes advantage of this to make food with flawless finishing. Ranging from adding garnish to altering the appearance of the food, undoubtedly food design has proved to be lucrative for the food industry.
Cakes, especially wedding cakes have been relying on its design more than the taste to attract buyers. Personally I believe that the taste of the food should always be the first priority, just like a building with good foundation rather than appearance
